The F150 ranges of flameproof junction boxes are single body enclosures which are intended for Ex d applications. The modular flexible design allows complex control panel systems to be customized to a clients need.

The large range of enclosures contains 9 variations and offers many advantages to end users when used in a panel system :

• F150-JB Junction Box – having a plain cover and containing typical electrical equipment as stated in the equipment listing on drawing C2385 (available from Govan).

• F150-CP Control Panel – having a cover fitted with up to 24 Govan switch or indicator light modules and containing relays, timers, contactors, motor starters, etc.

• F150-A2 Instrument Control Panel – having an A2 window cover fitted with up to 14 Govan switch or indicator light modules and containing meters, display components, control switches, etc.

• F150-A5 Instrument Enclosure – having an A5 window and containing instruments or process control equipment.

• F150-CB Distribution Board – having a cover fitted with up to 10 switch operators and containing circuit breaker, load-break of isolating switches.

• FH150-JB Junction Box – having a plain cover and containing feed through type terminals.

• FH150-CP Control Panel – having a cover fitted with up to 24 Govan switch or indicator light modules and containing relays, timers, contactors, motor starters, etc.

• FH150-A4 Instrument Control Panel – having an A4 window cover fitted with up to 12 Govan switch or indicator light modules and containing meters, display components, control switches, etc.

• FH150-CB Distribution Board – having a cover fitted with up to 10 switch operators and containing circuit breaker, load-break of isolating switches.

The enclosures are available LM4/AC601 copper free cast aluminium alloy, stainless steel or cast iron. The F150 enclosures are designed for use in Group IIB gas atmospheres, while the FH150 enclosures are designed for use in Group IIB+hydrogen gas atmospheres. Each enclosure consists of a rectangular body fitted with a bolted cover, which forms a flameproof flange joint. All flamepaths incorporate O-rings seals, which do not interrupt the flamepath, to prevent dust and water ingress
